I'm about to make a submission to Contact Illustrator and have been reading their digital guidelines which aren't as helpful as AOP 04!
There doesn't appear to be a downloadable version so settings are made in the colour settings dialogue box which I assume you load to the profile folder.
Can any of you guys that have made submissions before please help?
They ask for screen resolution between 300-350dpi and files 'at least the size they are to appear' - this lacks precision!
In the custom CMYK dialogue box I can select the required SWOP Coated setting and adjust the dot gain to 8% and black limit to 80% and total ink limit to 350%. Have I understood this correctly?
Back to the colour settings dialogue - what do I do with the gray dot gain and spot dot gain? The default is 20% in both cases.
It then gives some details I don't understand -
Print resolution 175 dot screen Dot gain 8% each colour and also Ink density figures -
what do I do here?
