I asked this question at Digital Workshop ( Calumet), regarding G3, G4 TiPowerbook and/or G5, I was told that I should not attempt this. If you try unplugging firewire connections with computers turned on, you may hit problems with disk directories getting corrupted, this happened to us, despite unmounting the disk(via silverlining) prior to turning it off and disconnecting. If you are on os9.2 you could connect via Appletalk. I have OSX on the G5 and OS9.2 on the G3 ( print server, and running Live Picture, scanners, and all the other bits that I don't want on OSX) The connection between the two operating systems is not quite as simple as Appletalk, but works very well, once set up. hope this is of help matthew =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
