Dear Kim and others, This is only a personal view but after being 20+ years in this business I still have yet to find a zoom lens that is perfect accross the film format at all apertures/focal lengths. When I bought my Nikon F90 10 years ago the "camera guy" @ KJP said that the (then) Zoom lenses for the nikon where great. I bought 2 (35>70mm & 80 >200mm f2.8) plus a 24 mm fixed. Within a week I bought them back with the test film. Vignetting was the main problem so I bought all fixed lenses and have never changed since then. I now use the Kodak 14n with these same lenses I bought 10 years ago plus the 105mm macro (Nikon) and I am getting great quality on all the lenses and at least I get wide angle when I want it. Cant wait until they make a full size sensor for the 5x4 camera!!! Cheers Stuart Baynes Stuart Baynes Photography www.foodphotography.co.za
PS the only problem I have is cleaning the sensor - see my other mail on this subject. =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
