I think digital print is killing this but it used to be done quite a
lot, there was a business that put a self adhesive backing on but I am
afraid it is several years and I can't find their details at the moment
but they certainly did go to at least 3" width. My old regular pro lab
used to put two strips of double sided tape on the back of prints -
applied by hand to the prints whilst still on the roll after processing
and before trimming. If you do this yourself make sure you get the
double sided tape with a good overlap on the backing so it can be peeled
off.
