Richard,

The best device for applying prints in this fashion would be the 3M ATG gun.
This applies a double-sided tape to the back of the print which is both
secure and permanent. However, in the case of a Christmas type card, you
might prefer a tacky tape dispenser. Stationery stores carry them and
they're not very expensive. With such a device you can roll down a
double-sided tacky tape on the back of the print which will adhere it to the
card but allow it to be removed and kept in a scrapbook or placed in a frame
by the recipient. The aforementioned ATG gun is a wonderful tool to have
around the studio, especially useful in placing a paper backing on frames
and/or adhering two pieces of matboard for framing. It's great for placing
photos in albums too. Much faster than conventional methods involving
removing double-sided tape from sandwiched non-stick backing.
