Well, you could take a 12k HMI and shove it through a 30'x30' silk and lift
the shadows. Depending on the area being covered, you can increase the fire
power and the size of the silk. That's one non-software solution. <g>
Seriously, sounds like you are taking my remarks about the examples featured
on the Kodak ADC website personally. I ask you, what pro is going to take
photos like the ones of the bride and the kid? OK, that's a rhetorical
question, I'm not interested in answers.
BTW, I did not dismiss the plug-in. In fact, I listed alternative software
for rescuing photos taken in difficult lighting situations! Please do me the
courtesy of reading the post.
