Having done a quick comparison with the Shadow/Highlight tool in Photoshop CS, the latter wins out.

1. It's part of the program, so free if you've upgraded.
2. Previews are done on the full size image. SHO's is in a small window.
3. S/H processes much faster.
4. S/H has far more detailed controls.


If Kodak had brought it out a few months ago it would have sort a few copies. Hopefully they can use the technology elsewhere (in their RAW convertor). And hopefully we'll see S/H controls within the Adobe's Raw Converter in CS 2.0...
