Anyone any idea why PS7 continually is unable to open the occasional image processed from RAW by C1 as jpgs (in order to make a quick contact sheet for clients in PS)?
Can't help on that one, but when we make contact sheets in Photoshop CS (8),
we just use the raw files as the source. Generally this is faster than
having Phase software process JPEG's and then make contact sheets - a two
step process.
I have been going via C1 as I found this to be a quick way to do any grey balance and (dare I say) occasional exposure correction for the contacts. Is this possible in PS CS?
Btw. Contact sheet in CS is enhanced when compared to PS 7...
At last, hurrah.
Previously I have sometimes made PS 'recognise' the files by opening them all then closing and found that they subsequently opened ok in contact sheet 11. I felt this was something to do with either the file name structure or preview thumbnail not being there; as the open dialogue window in PS will not display a preview of most processed images. Could there be something in this?
By the way this problem was worse on any occasion I used the truly awful Canon Utility.
Many thanks
Jonathan
