I have recently started using Cumulus single user to manage my digital asset files (following a recommendation on this list from a while back)
Cumulus can export html pages containing thumbnails and images. Once you have some page designs for a site, perhaps produced in Dreamweaver or some other tool, you can customise Cumulus to use your own templates. For my own site I only use two formats for image pages so this shouldn't be too much. The benefit of this is that its then easy to re-generate pages when your selection of images changes. Having said that I am still struggling to get Cumulus doing exactly what I want, but I think that I'll get there in the end, especially if I read the manual :) Maybe you could think about this, or another asset management tool like Portfolio as part of the web production process?
