A visit to http://www.photodex.com/ may solve your problem, Si. They have
excellent programs for creating slide shows including trial downloads.
ProShow allows you to create a self-running PC slideshow on CD, as well as
SVCD, XVCD and XSVCD, all burned onto ordinary CDR's. This is first rate
software that I have used with both pleasure and success in my business. It
matches and exceeds the capabilities of a two-projector slide show with
music and computerized organization.

The program creates an Mpeg file that can be burned to DVD-R with any
standard DVD burning software.

One note: if you do use CD or DVD for your presentation, make sure the
client or recipient has a machine new enough to play these formats.
