Dear List

Lets clean up our acts!!

This week I am your duty list mum and am happy to 'field' any queries you may have regarding suitability of subject matter for inclusion here, emails or phone contact are both fine by me.

Please, PLEASE can we have a week of more professional posting than some of you displayed last week.....this is after all Prod dig (Professional Digital) so can we conduct ourselves as if we ARE professionals and know how to post here, even if some of us are not in the strictest sense pros by profession. (I use that word loosely!)

Do please remember that the list comprises a lot of clued up high flyers who frankly find it 'irksome' to put it politely when they have to wade through postings that need serious trimming, HTML nonsense disclaimers etc., and threads bearing names without any regard to what is being discussed. This also makes the value of the Archives pretty pointless which is rather a shame, so I urge you all to spend just a few moments before hitting that send key. It will also save you from the silent curses of a large proportion of the well over one thousand listees here who DO take trouble before posting.

One point put to me off list last week was that some people may feel reticent about posting in case they are jumped on and made to feel inadequate. Whilst I do not feel this often happens, it is something we should all guard against and be considerate with our remarks and responses.

Thank you all for taking the trouble to read this far...let's try to have fun but lets also try to make it a week where the list mum can get some work done too<G>

Cheers
