Chris, I am a portrait photographer in the UK and have been using the 7600 for all my images since July last year - this combined with Ilford profiles and media.
Here, at least, Ilford sell their Studio system which includes the Onyx RIP, their profiles (which are excellent - ever tried getting pure B & W images off 7 colours - they do!!!) and a day's set-up at the clients business. It also includes the 7600 and a computer to act as print server but I daresay they would sell your client the RIP and the profiles. Will lock him into Ilford media. No bad thing, though - it is competitively priced and very very good.
