Initially only a reference print is wanted, but even at four inches high,
the print will be around 9 feet long. (10cm x 3m approx). Will it be
possible for a print shop to take 1 file and print it in one strip on four
inch wide paper?

The Epson 2100 come with roll paper support, and you can get paper in rolls
about 4 inches wide, or A4 width, A3 width, and 330mm.

Perhaps one foot by 27 feet or 330mm by 10m would be acceptable?

With the larger pro stylus printers you can get larger prints.

I will have broadband in a week or two so you could then e-mail it to me,
but I am sure someone your side of the world could do it - 4 inches is about
the standard width they use for postcard prints.

Tell them you want super panoramic format!
