I am a portrait photographer, spending 80% of my time on location (mainly working with available light) and 20% in the studio. I have been shooting on a D1x and 14n for some time but I am about to make a leap into medium format digital photography. I have come up with a shortlist that includes the Leaf Valeo 22 and the Imacon Ixpress. I have tested them both in a studio environment and the results are outstanding. However, I have heard whispers about noise issues, particularly with the Valeo, in available light conditions.
I would be very grateful for any pearls of wisdom that anyone can share with me that will help me to make a decision on which way to go (or suggest alternatives that may be better suited to location based / available light) shooting.
