That's really interesting. So let's just assume that you have a couple of lights on a glossy print you are copying and you are being a bit careless and are getting a bit of glare on the edges. You have a polarizing filter on the lights and one on the lens....you swing the camera filter for maximum polarization and what happens to the area of glare? I would see purple in the areas of maximum brightness and it would record as such on the colour film.

I often see this effect on pictures of old masters done by someone not doing their job correctly.....anyhow are you saying that shot with a digital camera/back the file does not show this effect?
