Hi, Yesterday I had my Mac go mad. It frooze and when restarted opened up with the screen set back to the Mac desktop and Icons large etc.. From then on various freezes and restarts with an on screen message asking me to resart by using the power button/start up button.
After various attempts at restarts etc and running the disc utility I erased the disc and started from scratch installing system software . I am now gradually reinstalling software and everything seems fine. I have run disc utility again both from the HD and from the installer Cd ( "HD Seems to be fine"). IS this it, have I got rid of the problem, did I have a glitch which has been removed by reinstalling or could anyone advise if this is likely to be something more serious? I do not have disc warrior and notice from the archive that some people think the disc utility is possibly enough in this situation.
