Why bother with that. I have an Image Ready droplet that processes as many images as you want to throw at it. I do a lot of PR jobs where there are hundreds of images at a time to watermark for CD based web browsing. All you have to do is record it once as an action (or combine several actions together) and make a droplet. All I do is literally drop whole folders of images at a time.
The beauty of Image Ready droplets is that you can open them on the desktop and drag and drop individual actions into it.
