I've got both printers. I use the 1290 to print on glossy/oyster paper for
portfolio use where high colour and impact are needed. People don't realise
that its inkjet once the prints are in mylar sleeves in my book.

I use the 2100 where a less saturated but longer lasting image is required,
I no longer use it for B&W preferring Piezotone. Main use of 2100 now is for
proofing and for the CD-Printing capability.
