On the subject of Jessops, I know a lot of people think of them as the
Starbucks of the photographic world and I think a lot of their staff
lack any relevant knowledge or skill - I recently had to explain the
term focal length to one of their staff in the Guildford Branch!
However, their New Oxford street store really is pretty damned good. A
lot of the staff have photographic backgrounds, they always have even
obscure items in stock and price match without quibling. I recently got
a canon 100-400L IS for 1170 including a free 77mm uv, and was once
offered a brand new 1d for 1900! I only go in there maybe twice a
month but on a couple of occasions staff have remembered my last
purchase and asked how I'm getting on with it!
Next time you are checking out something in the Jacobs Pro department
make sure you do a comparison with Jessops across the road!

Hi
Even Jessops on New Oxford St (right near where I'm
working) were eventually prepared to match the Fixation offer, but by
the
time they had got round to it, I'd parted with the dosh elsewhere
