[PRODIG] AdobeRGB in iView

I was on a shoot yesterday and converted the thumbnails in iView 
MediaPro to AdobeRGB via the 'manage colour profiles' command.  The 
files became very saturated, but I thought this was down to the 
gruesome light at the location.

I then opened the same file in iView on my G5, converted them to 
AdobeRGB in the same way, with the result that they looked very 
different, and better.  What's that all about?  I thought there was 
only one AdobeRGB profile.  If that's the case, why the different 
results on 2 machines (and it's not a monitor profiling issue; I copied 
the laptop iView file to my deskop and was able to convert the 
thumbnails from the laptop's AdobeRGB profile to the desktop's).

I'm confused/bemused.
