This morning I wrote a disc on my G4 Powerbook. When it was left to verify, an error warning came up saying sector 0 failed to read - verification failed. I reinserted the disc and opened up several files without problem. Is there a problem with the laptop, or with the CD/make? (The write speed was 2x on a TDK Metallic 700MB, my standard stock for archiving.) And need I bother with the verification process? I know a lot of people who don't.
