Apple claim that no drivers are needed as scsi support is built in to
Panther but I see a lot of people on the Apple support lists are finding
that this is not working for them..

Was the Artixscan 1100 one of them?

This does look like a solution! A bit pricey at 100 squids but cheaper
than a new scanner. Apparently it only runs one scsi device but that
would be better than nothing. Thanks for the info, so far it seems like
the only way to go if I don't want to reboot every couple of hours.
