Thanks Jan I'm just now testing a similar setup with 1gig dual G4 Mac & Vuescan 7.6.72 & so far so good! And no noticeable loss of speed! Thanks to Simon Grosset for loaning me his redundant Belkin scsi to firewire converter on sale or return. Looks like a sale (after which no doubt Microtek & Vuescan will make it redundant again...). Retrospect still won't run on schedule but that's probably a Dantz/10.3.2 problem.
