If you press "F" once you get your image in full screen mode with some grey around and the menu bar on top. If you press "F" again you get the image on black background but without the menu bar. If you hit the tab button you loose all the tool palettes as well so you have a FULL screen. All your tools still work though. Next time you press "F" you are back to normal...
