What versions of Camera Manager, and firmware for the 14n are you using?
There are known problems with old versions of the 14n firmware.
The latest versions of both seem to work fine on my system: OSX
But unfortunately not mine. OSX 10.2.8 and OSX 10.3, camera manager 3.1.0.2, photodesk 3.2
exactly the same firewire woes.
