Having had to replace a defunct Epson 1160, I've installed the Lyson Continuous Ink System (as before), successfully done several head cleans via the Epson Printer Utility, and pressed 'print'. However I'm getting a dialog reading 'communication error with the printer. Please reset (or turn on) the printer and try printing again'. I've of course done that (and also restarted - Mac OSX 10.3, Photoshop CS), but to no avail.

It seems strange that Epson Printer Utility can tell the printer to do head cleans and nozzle checks, but that the printer software thinks it isn't communicating. The only other strange thing is that there is no ink level reading at all (empty or otherwise) in the Printer Utility.

If anyone has any thoughts as to a next stop I will be most grateful.
