Hi,

At the end of last year I attempted to calibrate a monitor, as part of a
lecture, at the college where I teach Photoshop and Digital Imaging. The
system was a late G4 running OS 9.2 with a Lacie 19" (Electra Blue?) CRT
monitor. I was demonstrating the use of the ColorVision Spyder with
PhotoCal software. Because all of the machines on that site are protected
so the students can't change things to much, I was given enough access to
load the software and run a calibration. Unfortunately I later discovered
that I had no access to the Extension Manager so I could not turn off the
Default Calibrator and Adobe Gamma as recommended. I also discovered that
this machine had been calibrated by a previous tutor but using an EyeOne
unit.
The point of this is, I could not get a good colour setup at all, it looked
very cold, Cyan/Blue. Is this because I could not turn off the recommended
extensions or has the EyeOne left something that needs to be removed, or is
there something else involved when running a calibration on the Lacie 19
monitor?
