there's more than one type of Wolf Faust Velvia target. Could that be it?

I've not tried scan open for years, but thoiugh it OK when I last did,
I could mnake you a GretagMacbeth Profilemeaker Pro profile, it's a
service we offer here.

could be the target [wrong velvia type?]
could be the datafile [wrong file]
could be scan open doesn't like the datafile format?
