Thanks to all for the paper leads: as ever, a great response from the list
to a call for help.

I'll probably get an Epson R800 (I've seen impressive results from the Ultra
Chrome inks it uses) & profile it with the included software, using Epson
inks and one of the papers below.

I also like matt paper (Matte Heavyweight's my paper of preference in a
1270) but figure glossy to be tougher - how do the papers people suggested
stand up to handling, especially the non-gloss ones and how are they all re.
archival properties?

Once again many thanks for the feedback,

Michael O'Brien

>Olmec(ICI) do double sided gloss, the single-sided works well with
>Epson 1290 & inks (bronzes with Lyson Fotonic) - use "film" setting
>(though best of course with special profile) - see 7dayshop.com,
>Calumet stock some of their paper as well.

>I had to do an annual report for a charity of only 150 copies recently. We
asking Martin at Silverprint and he recommended Tetenal Spectra Jet Duo
Print 130g/m2 paper.
>It isn't glossy but the finished result looked just like offset litho on our
1160 Epson printer. It comes in A3 size so you just need to saddle stitch to
make an A4 book. It was also very cheap, about 20 for 100 A3 sheets.
