I spent days trying to do this very procedure. After the way I was spoken to and treated, the tech people at Minolta are lucky I live so far away, otherwise I would have re-homed it, still in the box. You simply cannot, as i have found out, get it to work on OS9. It works fine on OSX. Thing is I don't want to use OSX. I spent hours talking to them, downloading software but to no avail. Try OSX or send it back.
