Amanda, it already happened I think. I'm also interested now. If people can wait a week I'd be happy to co-ordinate another bulk purchase.
All the rumours seem to be that the 1Ds won't be replaced until the Autumn. So buying now seems reasonable. But I think that it might be worth waiting a week to see if there are any price adjustments. PMA is in about a weeks time and may reveal whether the 1Ds is likely to get any competition (will Kodak or Fuji announce a new full frame camera?, hopefully the latter). If not then I expect that the price will remain firm. Note that updating the chip in the 1Ds to the technology used in the 1D Mark II would result in a 15mp sensor.
