Thanks very much for this.

Changing interpolation to BiCubic (better) did solve the problem.

I had previously set interpolation to Bicubic - Smoother which does cause
this 1 pixel line to be left, as does BiCubic - Sharper. Will this anomaly
be written out in any forthcoming CS update?

Please change the interpolation in the Preferences (Edit >  Preferences >
General> Image Interpolation) to Bicubic (Better).
