I'm no expert, but I have been asking Nikon some similar questions regarding TTL multi flash with a D100. Nikon said that using wireless with the digital guns (e.g. sb800, sb80dx etc) MAY not be too successful as the guns give out pre flashes which are enough to set off the slave(s). Nikon's advice was to use cables. Sorry this is not positive advice, but hope it helps.
