If you happen to have a Minolta Autometer IV F, the manual suggests that using
ISO 100 and the flat disc diffuser, EV 3.7 equals 32 lux, and 4.7 equals 64 lux
(well, 33 and 65 , actually.) There's a table in the back of the manual for all
of the interim values.

The formula they give is: Lux = 2(raised to the power of the EV) X 2.5

So an EV of 3 would be 2X2X2 = 8 X 2.5 = 20 lux.

How you figure 2 to the point-somethingth power is simply beyond my ken.
