Hi Does anyone know whether the Atkinson profiles for 'Luster' paper are also for what is supplied as Premium SemiGloss Photo (250). I would have thought not, but...
Although the papers are different in the swatch pack I got with a new printer, the part numbers against the Luster profiles on the profile download page <http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/EditorialAnnouncement.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie =yes&oid=28155563> match up with a number on a box of the semigloss (SO41643 on the box against SO4164X for the Luster part number on the page) At the Epson uk site <http://www.epson.co.uk/cgi-bin/epson-uk/options_details.pl?which=Stylus+Pro +9600> the code for a SemiGloss(250) roll is SO41643 and Luster paper roll is SO41463, so the Luster number does not match up with the profiles site. My suspicion is that the profiles are for Luster paper and the (apparent) number match on the profiles site has just confused me a bit (more) :-)) I'd appreciate anyone's experiences/comments about the profiles... I wanted to give the Atkinson profiles a try since I have heard some very favourable comments about them. A quick test of the Luster one with the SG(250) paper produced a particularly fine B/W print - very neutral - but not much different from the Epson SG(250) profile... The printer (9600) has produced some of the best 'out of the box' prints I've produced ... but then again I've paid less for most cars I've ever driven :-) bye for now Keith Cooper Northlight Images http://northlight-images.co.uk Photography - Digital Imaging - Apple Mac Consultancy Tel +44 (0)116 291 9092 Mobile +44 (0)780 162 9397 =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
