Not convinced by stair interpolation, which I think has had its day. I could
never understand the need for 5% increments.......why not 4 or 6%? Stair
interpolation is one of a small crowd of procedures, and not necessarily the
best. Try it by all means, and if it works for a particular file - so be it,
but I would hardly recommend as a standard procedure.
