I'm running G4 1.25 single, 1.5gb RAM, 1gb set to CS, 2 seperate scratch discs (partitions on seperate drives from App) each set to 2gb, freespace on main drive is 100gb+
I'm not running File Browser.
The files are not bigger than 300mb (rarely more than 150mb) & not using loads of layers, just simple colour corrections to print.
The biggest problem I get is CS sometimes pauses when saving TIFF files. It can last for 3-5 mins, locks up the computer from any input and seems, to all intent, to have crashed. THEN, when it feels like it, it starts up again and starts doing all the input commands you tried when it was having it's nap.
Any suggestions warmly welcomed at this point.

Do you work with the File Browser open or minimised?
What Mac do you have? How much RAM? How many Scratch Disks and freespace etc?
