Dear List, I'm about to install Nikon Scan 4.0.0 software for use with a Coolscan 5000 and need some advise in setting up the colour space- apologies if this seems a little novice.
The option of Adobe RGB is only an option with Windows - 3 colour space options for Macintosh and 7 for Windows. Is it sensible to override this and use the Abode RGB under the Windows category or use Apple RGB (?) under the Macintosh section If using Apple RGB are there any disadvantages other than having to convert to Adobe RGB everytime a picture is opened? My set up is a G4 400 OS 9.2.2 with Lacie 19 Blue monitor and Photoshop 6 - working space Abobe RGB - Gamma already set to 2.2 due to using Lacie (non-Apple monitor) and calibrated with an EyeOne Also, is it worth scanning in 16 bit and converting to 8 post scan?
