Greetings, It sounds to me that the firewire San Disk is your best option. 90 seconds is fast.
It amazes me is that the USB2 isn't comparable. It should be almost as good as the firewire. Although not the fastest the most reliable is a PCMIA (I hope, I got the intials right) slot and a Compact Flash PC Card Adapter. There are two types of PC Card Adapters. There's the 16 bit type and the newer 32 bit type. Of course the 32 bit type is faster. I haven't tried the 32 bit yet. The cost of a 16 PC Card Adapter is about $12.00 USD. All I can say, is that I've tried them all and prefer the PC Card Adapter only because it stores right inside my laptop. No wires or worry about leaving an accessory behind.
