For my sins I am your list mum for today and the next two weeks. If you have ANY, yes ANY queries relating to posting please ask me.... BEFORE just posting to the whole list! Sounds easy, but several of you have been posting test messages to the list, sending postings where you clearly do not know if your post is on topic or not., and sending repeat postings when your first one has been slow to appear. This only serves to annoy and frustrate members.
Please be aware that there are many reasons why your post may take time to appear, or even never appear. First check the archives...always a bit behind, and if necessary ask the duty list mum who is always eager to help you in every way possible. You may ring or email me at any time during the next two weeks.
If you are a newish member, or one who only occasionally posts, it behoves you to take the trouble to make sure that you read the guidelines and post correctly....every time please if possible. This saves you the annoyance of receiving a list mum message, and the list mum the trouble of writing to you....a win, win situation!
Finally, just to remind you. PRODIG is a list for professionals engaged in all forms of digital imaging, and whilst we welcome all skill levels, most members will expect you to have made a certain amount of effort to resolve problems yourself, and not to treat the list as a lazy man/women's free help line that's available on demand.
