I have been using a demo of the new version and a with a quick glance at the files generated for the web gallery, I could no longer see their logo, and the link now appears to be a script rather than a simple link. I could be wrong but it looked harder to remove than it was in previous versions.

As Rob has already said you can alter it with BBEdit. Why don't you put your logo in place of it? I personalise Photoshop Web Galleries and replace them as templates in Photoshops galleries so all I do is run Photoshop's Web Galleries with my details already on them.
