Yes, yes, indeed, ditto...

You might also try cleaning the contact pins carefully in a static
free environment and replacing the memory sticks - the bad one may be
found to be good again.
Particularly if the sticks have tin contacts in a gold contact module
(or vice versa) - Electro-chemical series type corrosion more likely
to take place.  (For more see p 440, Upgrading and Repairing PCs,
Scott Mueller, 13th Edition).
