yes but whats the best quality? AF s or AF d, any idea. i have been told that the afd lenses are designed for the smaller chip size on most cameras, so which is best?

Hi, I have been looking in for the last week or so and thought someone might be able to give me advice. I have bought a dcs14n and want a general purpose mid zoom i.e. 28-80 ish. I don't need a 2.8 and I am wondering what the difference is between the af s lenses and the af d in image quality for digital. is still shoot 135 film and have all the prime lenses I need for work, I just don't seem to be able to find out what is the best for colour and sharpness etc.

As a general rule, buy the best quality lenses you can for digital. Digi SLRs have a way of 'finding' any problems with lenses, especially with edge definition.....
