thanks for the valuable advice, I probably used the
word fantasy out of context, It would be a dream for
me to be able to cut through some of these complex
colour management issues, with anything like a
'standard'.
I'm not converting to my working space monitor, I
stick with the embedded profile, unless I'm receiving
a file without profile or from a dodgy source.
We are in developmental stages at BM&AG and I'm
looking for a best practice contingency. Prioritizing
as wide a colour range as possible and creating files
for supply to many users and platforms. So I guess I'm
looking to standardize, if I can, at least part of the
process, withing the minefield that is the wider
context of museums and galleries. All with different
standards, practices and bad habits, professional or
otherwise.
