Hi Bob There's no way I am going to disagree with what the Sinar 54 can capture technically as opposed to the humble 1Ds. The point I was trying to make was what good is a battleship cruiser when you want to go up the river Avon? <g> > didn't deride ,see above, the D1s is a great piece of kit and definitely has a > place in the marketplace. But do I sense a little pixel envy here (BG) ? Hey, you can always do with a few more, erm, pixels but not if it makes walking or crossing your legs impossible! <g> > Now you've lost me. Well, I've seen a lot of 96 sheet backlit posters and that, because of the subject matter, couldn't have been shot on a Sinar 54 or large format. So, "quality" isn't always the overriding factor. That's all I'm trying to say. > Personally , we get very > demanding clients and have to provide the best solution possible in all > circumstances . That's why we have the Canons in addition to the Sinars. There you go...wish everyone would say that quality is a shifting factor and only one among many that makes up any brief. > Makes me feel ancient (Shooting commercially since 1969 on all formats from > half frame to 10x8) Real envy!... >> Henri Cartier-Bresson, to mention just three, is laughing all the way >> to the bank as his "crude" 35mm images sell by the millions! > > Haven't seen any of his drinks campaign still life shots . Not the only campaign in town. <g> Shangara Singh. __________________________________________________ :: Photoshop CS Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) :: Photoshop CS Essential Tips && ACE Exam Aids && Glossary :: http://www.photoshopace.com && http://www.examaids.com =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
