I would have thought that it would depend mostly on the hardware with which they will be projected - particularly the pixel dimensions. I would import them into PS CS, do any tidying up you need to and export them when you have more info. Even if you had all the info, it would be handy to have the projector for experiment, so you could adjust contrast etc to suit if required.
