Yee-uch! As a former human factors researcher, I heap scorn upon the
monstrosities that M$ have produced. This ties in with the kitchen sink
approach to interface design they adopt for office applications "Oh, look
there is a bit of free space, lets fill it with more obscure icons for
functions no-one uses"

Interestingly enough, this precise argument has gone on in Microsoft for
some time between their many usability and Human Factors people and
Marketing ... Guess who usually gets the final say :-(

However back to my current occupation ;-) ...

As someone who uses PS a lot I can appreciate the fine control offered for
some operations using a pen -BUT- I also use a mouse most of the time! As
with most things like this it does well to try many different tools and see
which suits your own preferences. (Spits on floor at thought of M$ behemoths
being pushed around the desk ;-)
