Dear Joy.

Your reply will be more than welcome and expected by monday.

There are many iView users in the list and the input will be appreciated by
all.

I, for one, am still running on Mac OS9 and the more iView gets to solve
issues related to performance with OSX, the less friendly the app seems to
become for OS9. It may be understandable , to a point, but most of the users
I know have gone back to version 1.5.7 as the last stable for OS9( version
9.2.2) .

Version 2 does not work well under OS9, it becomes terribly slow for simple
tasks like viewing the enlarged version of the images and the recent beta
simply quits a few seconds after it opens up. Also, for the first time in 3
years shooting digital, the use of iView version 2 introduced corruption in
a small group of RAW files from Canon cameras like I had never seen ever
before. I deleted the files ( I had some untouched back up ) and I just
dumped version 2 ( during trial) from my system and back to 1.5.7.

I have not send any major report to your company, given the fact that there
is no accountable report of how many OS9 users still remain active ( my
guess is that there are more than Apple is willing to admit, but it is just
my take), and quite frankly, I feel I may be -although still reluctantly -
moving towards OSX sooner than later during this year and this leads me to
beleive that any report on OS9 bugs will be like wasted time.

In the same line of thought, I don't know if iView will keep focusing on
solving bugs for performance in OS9 in the coming future, while having a
Panther to seduce .
