I'm on a budget and need a new monitor. I know that 'budget' and 'LCD monitor' are phrases that seldom go hand in hand, but I recall seeing a favourable impression of the Formac Gallery 1740. At just under �500 inc VAT in the UK, it's in the 'affordable / justifiable' range for me. Any opinions or other suggestions in that price range are more than welcome. I don't really want another CRT - I recently spent a day using my pal's budget LCD screen on his PC and felt a lot fresher at the end of it. BTW I'm on Windows XP, but plan on trying a Mac soon.
