As I like working with keyboard shortcuts, I usually "bulk-save" files onto the desktop - which you can access in the Save As dialogue by pressing "Apple+D". After saving all the files, I move them to their "final" destination folder.
Alternatively, you could use "Recent places" in the pull-down menu - or write a Photoshop Action.

I've checked the help in macOSX but can't seem to find the function there was in OS9.
You used to be able to define the last used place where the system would go to when you would save-as a file...
example. you've got a cd full of jpg's and want to open them from cd directly and save them away somewhere else in a different format. But everytime I use save-as the system goes back to the cd. is there a way that it would go back to the place I saved the first one in?
Thanks in advance,
Mattias.
